@delric No way of legally avoiding accountability in the UK - don't know about anywhere else (should have specified).
@daringfireball There is an argument that the whole problem we have with social media is that from the get go the use of usernames implied and then inculcated the concept of hiding behind an unaccountable ‘avatar’ and people could say what they liked anonymously.
From Elizabethan times onwards this hadn’t been the case in print media, where here is no way of avoiding accountability.
@kottke You’re not alone in needing to hear this - I’ve said something similar to many patients over the years. It’s as though society believes that post adolescence (which we now recon lasts till the mid 20s), as you say; we’re made. But we keep going through periods of change that require psychic development to fully appreciate. Perhaps it might help if we recognised and celebrated them; as we do christenings or marriages.
@kottke What a great find those pictures are (and the violin) the AI colourising of the image is pretty good too. I just tried out the AI tools in Photos and erased something I didn’t want from a picture. The results were surprising. Now to get rid of all my exes from nice pictures of me from my past. I wonder where else this might lead…
